| Re: Windows 7 Been running it for about 3 months now, no problems at all, my laptop is still running the RC though, main machine has the full version,
I never had any major issues with Vista either though.
Advice for people upgrading - go for the 64 bit version, there's no good reason not to these days.

If your papping a new OS on a clean format is always the best way to go about it. |

| Re: Windows 7 Been using it since the RC, been running the RTM since it was released on MSDN a couple of months back, absolutely love it.
I refused to touch Vista with a bargepole, so was very glad to get a change from XP!

I refused to touch Vista with a bargepole, so was very glad to get a change from XP! | 'its not xp' seemed to be most people gripe with Vista in the first place. I had XP crash on me loads of times, only happened once with vista ever.
But 7 is a lot more streamlined, and a lot snappier, for want of a better term. |

| Re: Windows 7 i've been running it on my gaming rig since RC2 i think. seems nice and nippy, but on that machine it would be. not noticed any major issues, but the machine isn't used for much past booting up, loading a game, then shutting down later. |

| Re: Windows 7 For the people who have tried it..does it have the compatability issues like vista had? Will items (like printers/cameras ect) for XP,vista work with it? or do you have to download patches n stuff?

But 7 is a lot more streamlined, and a lot snappier, for want of a better term. | I grew a bored of XP for a bit, so much so that I bought a Macbook rather than go to vista!
But then I got so fed up with that, I sold it and went back to XP.... XP wasn't that bad after all, LOL!

| Re: Windows 7 None that I've encountered, but then I had none with vista either, other than for a wireless adapter I had that dell ddn't bother making a vista driver for.
I hate using xp now, the 2 machines in work have it and it jsut feels so unintuitive now.

| Re: Windows 7 Vista was much too RAM intensive and use to crash if I had too many processes running, the risk of crashing increased when running games like WoW!
Not had any such problems with Windows 7 (Y)
