I'm looking to install some form of wireless internet access in a vehicle, anyone know of any options that might be available?
I know 3 do this small pay as you go wireless modem that allows you to connect up to 5 devices at a time... same kind of idea as the usb sticks.

I've heard some people say the coverage isnt always the greatest on the move using the dongles so would think it could be a similar problem with this device.
Found another place that installs full systems in your vehicle but that includes touch screens/basically their gear. I just want a wireless access point in the vehicle that people can connect to via their laptops!

hmmm.... yeah, i don't think i'll be going to the expense of satellite internet.
These 3 modems are only £49.99 (top up as you need), may just give it a shot and see if it's any use.

Just dont share with other people.... they'll hog the connection.

What is your actual goal?
I've done car pc installs before, but it sounds like you don't want any PC hardware in the car?
How many machines are you likely to want to connect at a time? Will you have access to be able to install the USB drivers onto them? Do you know what OSs you're going to be using (eg a lot of the USB dongles aren't currently supported under Snow Leopard)

If you can read this, my sig fell off.
to have wireless internet access point for my passengers whilst on the move. just the same as any wifi connection you have in the house.
probably just a couple of people would wanna connect at the same time on diff laptops.
the 3 option seems like the best option.

Ah right, cool, yeah, just finally clicked your link, and I've not seen anyone else offering MiFi in this country at the moment, so it should be your best bet.
