Our DVD recorder died and the replacement has got HMDI connection so thought i'd give it a go to see what the upscaling is like??
All connected up and turned on the HMDI connection nothing? flicked back to scart and had an error stating output device is not HDCP compliant??
Had a wee look online seems you can get issues with the HDCP handshake between TV and DVD tried a few things but no luck.
Just about to chuck it out a window when i thought i'd try a few other discs upon which i discovered any NTSC DVDS work perfectly, then to compound matters the original PAL disc i'd been trying worked once and once only
Any suggestions as to why this is happening??
not a major problem but is annoying that i can't get it to work?

Have tried 2 different HMDI cables with no luck & don't have anything else to connect to TV via HMDI!
