This keeps appearing when i go on certain sites and results in the window closing. Does anybody know how i can fix this? It's really annoying.

Any help would much appreciated

Re: C++ Buffer Overrun?

More details required!

At a guess, you're saying that you get this error message, in Internet Explorer 6 (maybe 7 ?) on a PC running Windows XP with service pack 2......?

For a quick workaround/ solution, grab a copy of firefox from www.getfirefox.com and that should let you browse the interwebs without any hassle, but if you want to fix your actual problem, more details are needed.

Sorry, i never really thought about what other details i should give but now you mention it , it makes sense!

Ahh i used to have firefox, but when i still shared this laptop with my brother he deleted it. Never had any problems with it aswell....

Think i'll just download Firefox again.

Thanks

Re: C++ Buffer Overrun?

You have some kind of shit toolbar or malware installed that's causing the problem. Get shot of it.

As doogie says, more details are required to solve it any more detail (in real terms, if something's reporting an overrun on a regular basis, it's not going to get “fixed” just “removed”).

It's quite possibly your virus scanner/similar reporting it on behalf of one of IE's plugins, but it amounts to the same thing.
