| Why. I've got a small motor that I've been sent by a company to test. It comes with a USB driver stick and software to turn it on and what not.
I plug it in, the 'Wizard' comes up and asks me about it's driver. I follow the instruction booklet and say "search this folder" containing two files, the .inf and the driver itself.
So, why then has my computer:
a) sat for the last 15 minutes asking me to 'Wait while the Wizard searches'.
b) asked me to install Internet Explorer 7????
What relevance does Internet Explorer bloody 7 have with a USB driver stick?
The internet explorer 7 installer itself is just sitting there doing sweet FA.
I hate this system.
EDIT: Update, the wizard couldn't find the file in the folder I gave it, even though I can see with my own eyes that the driver file is there. And Internet Explorer bastard 7 is downloading updates for INternet Explorer 7. I don't have Internet Explorer 7 on this cunting machine, so why not just download and install the most current version instead of what it seems to be doing of installing version 0.01 Alpha release then updating it in it's spare time. |
