| itunes help i have a few audiobooks on my computer and i want to put them on my ipod, but they don't get recognised as audiobooks so keep getting filed in with my music, which is a particular pain when i like listening to it on random! so how can i force itunes to recognise the audiobooks as such?

| Re: itunes help Not sure if this will work, but if you go to iTunes preferences, the first tab (called GENERAL) has tickboxes for Show
Movies
TV Shows
Podcasts
Audiobooks
iPod Games
and so on;
if you make sure that's ticked you can make sure the audiobooks are sorted correctly in iTunes, and they should then appear correctly on the iPod by Syncing rather than just dragging them into MUSIC on the iPod.
I think.
Make any sense at all? Good luck!

| Re: itunes help I think it's only audiobooks bought from the iTunes Store that will appear in that menu.
My approach is to set the genre of audiobooks to Books & Spoken, and then have a smart playlist called 'All Music' which includes everything except items where the genre is Books & Spoken. |

| Re: itunes help Maybe not ideal but create one playlist for music and another for audiobooks?
