| Taking iTunes library off iPod onto freshly formatted PC? Right I had to format and reinstall Windows, along with iTunes and all that jazz. So I'm going to put new tunes on my iPod but it's saying you can only sync the iPod with one iTunes library at a time, but there's no library on this thing as it's just been wiped. Is there anyway to take the library from the iPod onto my iTunes, because I can't really be bothered dragging shit tons of music into a new iTunes library... I've had a wee play about but can't find anything which might let me do so. There is a will, so there must be a way, right?

| Re: Taking iTunes library off iPod onto freshly formatted PC? That seems to want to back up the actual songs as in files, I'm only after getting my created library back. I'll have a wee piss about and see if I can find an option or something.

You can either do this from scratch with the original mp3's etc, or use one of these programs to take the songs from the ipod (which has the advantage of keeping the play counts etc).
Its up to you which way you want to do it, its probably the same effort (depending on how your original songs were set up).

| Re: Taking iTunes library off iPod onto freshly formatted PC? Fuck it I'll just do it the old fashioned way tomorrow. Stupid how it doesn't just let yer pull a library off yer iPod. Did it also say what I thought it said and that yer could only have one library per PC? If so what happens when, say, one brother is a ned and the other likes metal but there's only one PC in the house?

Shit I know but jsut the way it works, unless you use a program to get round it.

| Re: Taking iTunes library off iPod onto freshly formatted PC? iSync is magic, cheers.
All I could find for ages was IpodRip, which wouldn't work for love nor money.
My own fault. Could have waited a whole day before syncing the Ipod in the flat but NOOOOOOO, I had to sync it at my Mum's to play with the shiney new Xmas Present.
