| Ripping audio from youtube type places
Right theres a competition a friend is trying to enter that is basically remixing a video in some surreal way. They need to rip the audio from one of the other videos on youtube by the same musician but all I can find is ways to rip the video and not just the audio on its own.
Is there any easy way to do it? |

I've used this one successfully before. It sometimes takes a couple of goes to make it work though, as it's a bit slow at times.

At the very worst, you could just record the audio when you play the YouTube vid. There must be universal system sound recorders for Windows, yeah? Like Wiretap for OS X?

I second dil_em_ma's recommendation of vixy. I've used that multiple times. Although if you put the files into iTunes, it says the song's like 30+ mins long, doesn't matter tho, it just says that but it will end after the usual song length. | |

It doesn't always though. Only sometimes it decides to be stupidly long, the rest of the time it's fine.

I use 2 programs, one for downloading the youtube video as a .flv file, and one for then converting to .mp3. Can't find the link for door number 2, when i get home tomorrow i'll letcha know.
