Anyone got a Blackberry with O2

Got a new blackberry today and having problems with the email. Set it up to use my Gmail account and all seemed to go ok, but I'm not receiving some of my emails. Some come through and some don't. There doesnt seem to be an option to check for new emails either. Called O2 tech support which was a waste of time. The guy kept telling me everything was fine and it should be working. "Its a new phone so it might just take its time to work" was one of his comments but my personal favorite was when he said it might be because of "capacity issues". "If you only allowed a limit of say 500MB and your trying to recieve an email thats 10,000GB then it won't get through". What kind of emails does he send?? Then he told me not to use my Gmail account online as that might be causing the problem. So has anyone else had problems using Gmail on a Blackberry? Seems to work fine on the iphone

Re: Anyone got a Blackberry with O2

I don't use gmail on my blackberry, but hotmail and my pop3 account. sometimes emails are delayed for a while, my pop3 account sometimes works for a while, then stops and I have to remove then re-setup the email account. It's kinda temperamental, I'll give it that. but it doesn't bother me too much cos I work from home so don't need to rely on it for email on the go.

Certainly sounds like the guy you spoke to didn't have a clue what he was on about though. Phone again, usually o2 support are really decent.

Re: Anyone got a Blackberry with O2

Cheers for the help. Called back up and was able to sort it. Although I dont seem to get emails that I send to myself. Like if I forget my USB stick, I email the attachment to myself and download it when I get home. But for some reason it doesnt show up on my Blackberry. Guess I can live with it but its a bit annoying.
