If you have built your own website, the next stage is to upload it to your webspace. I suggest using
Smart FTP This program has a great interface to help you uploading your files. The hardest part is getting the connection details correct. After that its plain sailing all the way. Remember these 3 things and you will be connected to your webspace easily every time:
Address - This is the address of your website minus the "http://" An example would be 'www.alternativenation.net'
Login - This the login name that your webspace provider has given you. This will almost definately be case sensetive so ensure you type it in exactly as it appears.
Password - Your password, like your login, will almost certainly be case sensetive so make sure you enter it properly
Once connected you must open the folder titled "public_html" and upload your files there as thats where all the pages that your viewers will see are kept. This folder might also be called "www".
Right-click > upload > direct > select files. select your files you wish to upload.
Tip
You must save your homepage as "index.htm" this will let the browser know that this is the homepage
