Probably cancelled.
Felicia Day's reporting on her Twitter ( www.twitter.com/feliciaday) that episode 13, the season finale, will not be shown, instead episode 12 will be considered the season finale (Felicia Day's episode will still be on the dvd)
While not an official announcement, the show has underperformed with dwindling ratings. While I'd normally point fingers at Whedon and Fox...the show really wasn't that great, actually. | |

Its starting to get good. I think they fucked up with the first four eps being pretty pretty shit. They should have got to the point a lot sooner. That said I wouldn't count the show out completely. Direct TV seem to be all about financing cult shows with no ratings and putting them on PPV essentially. Hmmm we shall see. | |

You have probably read by now but Tim Minnear says everything is cool and its just an issue with the amount of Eps Fox signed for.
Tim Minnear the same guy that said everything was cool with...
K-Ville, Drive, Standoff, The Inside, Wonderfalls and Firefly.

I was shocked by how bored I was by the first episode. Worst thing Whedon has ever directed!
Then within like 30 seconds of the second episode I was hooked.
