As a special "treat" we were taken to the dressing rooms to meet Hulk Hogan, which of course my brothers were delighted with, and I was pretty oblivious. My brother excitedly asked Mr. Hogan to tear his vest in the famous style and Hulk graciously obliged. He also, unfortunately, mistook the little blond girl with the pink dress on (me) as a hardy wrestling fan and proceeded to lean over me and roar in my face as he did it. When someone is quite literally eight times the size of you it is pretty terrifying.
My father carried me, wailing, out of the dressing rooms and my brothers have never forgiven me for cutting short their chat with the Hulk. I had nightmares about Hulk for months after that, and I was never invited to any further special events. I hear he apologised profusely afterwards so I've made my peace with him, although I still have a bit of a fear of wrestling. |

But your story works too, I can see how that'd be a touch disturbing. |

Paedos, that's who. | Just be thankful it wasn't the Ultimate Warrior. He'd have vigorously shaken a nearby object (probably you, again), roared a bit, paused to catch his breath from that 20 seconds of exercise, and then launched into a racist right-wing rant.
You got off lightly when you got Hoganed. |

Now there's a show that needs revived.
Terry Crews, who's Chris Rock's dad in Everybody Hates Chris and who was also in Harsh Times, The Longest Yard, and (very briefly) INLAND EMPIRE, played 'T-Money' in Battledome. What a show.

| Re: Gladiators makes a comeback! Just watched the first two episodes that were aired.
Copying the UK now are we america. There new events to gladiators ours used ages ago and theyve now got there own Bad wolf character who looks like a right ponse. Hogan is bludy annoying and so is the co-host. I canny stop laughing at Helga, big helga. Got a gladiator called titan also who looks like someones drawn a plastic smile on him. All the music there using is just updated versions of tunes uk gladiators used also.
The eliminator is better now though.
Still preferred the original American Gladiators compared to any. |

| Re: Gladiators makes a comeback! Starts back on Sky One in may presented by Ian Wright and Kirsty Gallacher Quote:
It was essential Saturday night viewing in the 90s and now it's back!
Gladiators returns to Sky One in May, when 32 contenders from all over the UK will battle it out for the grand prize fund of £100,000.
More than 20,000 applicants applied to take part in the revived series but only one male and one female contestant will triumph to win their share of the prize.
Original referee John Anderson returns for the show, which is filmed in the biggest studio set in the UK.
Sky One's Director Of Programmes, Richard Woolfe said: "I think it's going to absolutely blow people's socks off. The games are bigger, the Contenders are stronger and the Gladiators this time around are even more unbelievable."
Take a look below at our gallery to find out more about the 12 new Gladiators and then vote for your favourite in our poll...
