| Re: Strachan must go... Quite a good article on why some people hate Strachan that was on Etims the other day actually that says the same thing. Tommy Burns had a Celtic connection as well and everyone loves him anyway. It's tough hearing it from a hun but it's true. |

| Re: Strachan must go... I don't get it, Tommy Burns who was sacked because he couldn't stop Rangers getting 9 in a row, is loved.
But Wim Jansen, who stopped 10 in a row and signed Henrick Larsson, was hated?
Just cause he fell out with Brown?

| Re: Strachan must go... Because O'Neill won leagues when we finished 21 points adrift the season before, because O'Neill bought some of the best players seen in my generation at Celtic Park, because when we played shite O'Neill told the truth, because O'Neill got us to a UEFA Cup final.
This is the article in question you're talking about, note the use of the word SOME in the article - when you've got 45,000 season ticket holders I'd expect the hardcore to far outnumber the SOME referred to in this: Quote:
No manager in the history of Celtic football club has ever won every single match played, has never won every single match played, playing football the ‘Celtic Way’ and no manager other than the one season wonder Wim Jansen has a 100% success record when it comes to winning League championships and yet here we have the current Celtic manager facing the type of demands by a small but nevertheless gobshite section that are not only unreasonable but smack of an agenda to remove a manager who has never ticked at least two out of three required boxes that SOME (note for some of those already bumping their gums) of that group so desire.
Och, don’t hide away now as you all know fine well what we are talking about here.
* An ex-Celtic player.
* A Scottish or Irish Celtic supporter
* Cannot under any condition be a Scottish Protestant with no previous affiliation to the club.
Of course toys will be thrown out of the pram at this point, primarily by those who haven’t read the above properly (wee tip – go back and read what I’ve written again) as they shout in their rather feminine voices with handbags raised to chest height, ‘how dare you’ at my above accusations.

I watch/go to all the games, the teams from either era are not the same.
The football is not the same. The manager's attitude is not the same.
I've defended Strachan to the hilt almost all season, but now I'm a racist cause I want him out (supposedly because I can't tolerate a non-ex playing irish man? |

| Re: Strachan must go... i'll be behind him until it's mathematically impossible for us to win the league, then i'm afraid it'll be curtains for him. i have to believe he can win it, because thats what being a football fan is all about for me. conceding the league now is fucking crazy. it's football, where the impossible is possible. mon the hoops!

It's because he played for Aberdeen, and was a wee wanker then aswell (I could point out specific instances when he held complete contempt for the Celtic support) and STILL, as OUR MANAGER, talks an absolute pile of pish. | Quote:

| Re: Strachan must go... I know there will be sections of the Celtic support who have something against Strachan because of Rosco's suggestions, as did Rangers support with PLG, but those folk are just arseholes.
But the fact is the reason Strachan is wanted out is because he isn't getting the results the fans constantly demand, which wouldn't be as bad if he wasn't managing one half of the Old Firm. It happens, one poor season and your heads in the guillotine. Just look at Alex Mcleish, he in no way was a poor manager for us, 7 trophies isn't exactly a bad haul, but one poor season and there is protests to get him out.
As an OF manager, if you aren't topping the league and winning the Cups, you will always be hounded by fans, that's the pressures that come with the job.
