Re: Cheap flights to New York

Lovey & I went to an amazing grill place at Times Square. No idea what it was called but it was full of huge black guys eating ribs, which is all I want from a holiday.

But aye, that and Toys R Us are about it.

I think it was an early January deal. Get your skates on and come with me and Fi on Monday!

When you wanting to go?

United are doing a return in March for about £230. Have a look at travelsupermarket.com, good deals still on.

Re: Cheap flights to New York

Travelsupermarket have been the best for me so far, I'm going end of June, beginning of July and it's costing £330 return. Not bad since they started off about £450/500 before looking around!

Either Northwest, Continental or Delta. We're flying from London y'see and just waiting to find out which airport is best to fly into. (They're all offering flights for between £330 - £340). I'm starting to get excited now. I really do need to stop going on holiday, I'm taking the piss a bit now. Still though, may as well do it while I can!

We're going from London too - I'd avoid Heathrow if you're getting a flight back to Glasgow as it's only BMI & BA that fly from there which has ended us up waiting around for a few hours for our last flight home. You'll get a better choice of flight times from Gatwick, I reckon.

Enjoy your trip! I'll hopefully have some recommendations for you once I get back

edit: I've just realised that you said into, d'oh. We're going into JFK, but I've heard it's six and half a dozen between there and Newark in terms of travelling time to Manhattan/cost. Not sure about La Guardia though.

Re: Cheap flights to New York

La Guardia has pretty easy access into the city if I remember rightly (although I admit I have not been to La Guardia for years). All 3 are good airports though. I suppose it is similar to Heathrow/Gatwick/Stansted in terms of accessibility. All are pretty busy but all have a good infrastructure to get people in and out.

My sentiments exactly. I'm making up a list of all the places I want to visit and going to try and do 2 a year, or 1 if it's a more expensive destination. So far this year I'm going to Amsterdam in April, New York in June/July, back to Antigua in September, then I'm going to live in Zaragoza (Spain) for a year from the end of September. I wonder if I can squeeze anything else in before then... haha.

Cheeeeers! Think we're going to stay at my cousins in Hoboken the first couple of days so will likely go for Newark. Have an ace time, look forward to your recommendations!
