| Holiday at the beginning of June
I've just realised that this June is the last time in a few years (at least) that I'll be able to have a spontaneous holiday, so I'm thinking I'm going to head off somewhere.
I was thinking Thailand or Tokyo, as I can probably get free accomodation in both, however I will almost definitely be on my own so maybe they won't be a great idea. I'd love to go to east Asia, though...
Considering I'll probably be by myself is there anywhere cheap and fun I haven't thought of? Somewhere in Europe would be an idea as my bf could come out for a weekend, but it'd have to be cheap and interesting enough to last me two weeks.
Any idea/experiences?  |

Have you been to Berlin?
So, so much to do, and easyjet fly direct.
Excellent transport and just an amazing place. I've travelled a bit and it would be there or Warsaw I'd recommend.

If you go to Germany try to visit Freiburg.

We're off to Bulgaria in September. It's a great mix of sea&beach, places to visit plus mountains, rolling hillsides and forests. I think there's packages where you can spend each week in a different place, or just DIY travel it. | |

And Tokyo felt really safe too. At no point did I feel threatened or uneasy - I was walking about PACKED subway stations and not even concerned about my handbag being robbed out of. | |

I have some french friends in Barcelona who would look after you. Rachael can vouch for their friendliness, she slept with one of them about 4hrs after meeting(RUMOUR! oops, wrong thread). | |

I've been thinking about it for a while and I think I've decided I'm going to go to Tokyo. Has anyone been before? Any suggestions/advice? My uncle has a house just on the outskirts of Tokyo so I might be able to stay there.
