Courier Flights

I'm anticipating a rather hefty tax rebate, life is good. I have been advised to fuck my credit card bill and buy some tickets to Tokyo.

But, being the frugal monster I am, I want to do both.

So have any of you sage globetrotters been a casual flight courier before, or know someone who has? share your wealth of experience and knowledge with me, for I have possibly found a flight courier position from London to Tokyo for £245 and my fingers are itching, but I don't want to end up dead or something.
