was a terrible night. couldn't hear anything at all and we were mocked and had the piss taken out of us for no apparent reason. | want me to have mighty hobbit sex with them?? \m/ |

| Re: Last night at Bourbon Street The guy was a spoon. To be honest I'm not holding AMN responsible for it. They complained about the sound guy from the off. I'll be pushing them to do something about it. I think we'll be making our own complaints to the proper authorities and making sure they're taken seriously.
I'm not some hobbyist, when i'm up there my reputation is on the line as a musician, alot of the people who saw us for the first time last night may never want to stay to hear us again thanks to that and the fact that it wasn't our fault makes it even more harsh to me.
And if anyone HAS seen us before then you'll know that I really have to warm up or quite simply my arms would fall off. I'm with Eddie's offer, a free TK Ticket AND CD to the people who bring us their tickets from last night's gig. We'll show how it's done properly this time.
I can confess to be raging about this but the only way we can tackle it is to learn and make sure we never use such a useless piece of crap again for our sound. And also to do our best to ensure that NO BAND and in fact NO PROMOTER ever has to endure his crap ever again because it's disrespectful to hardworking bands who are taking alot of money out of their own pockets to do these gigs and to honest promoters who are trying to make a name for themselves in an already flooded scene.

| Re: Last night at Bourbon Street The more I think about it the more I'm inclined to agree. They made a few schoolboy errors at their first show. but in the promotions game you really cant afford to. after talking to one of the guys it seems the sound guy was out of their control. fair enough i guess, at least they now know to do some research because when somethin like the sound is fucked around with then its the promoter who gets the blame ontop of everything else. |

| Re: Last night at Bourbon Street I may as well say my bit too (you might have forgotten that I'm in the band too cos of the lack of posting on this forum!)
Basically, the sound engineer was a tit. I have done a bit of enquiry into the guy's details and I now know his full name and as Burke says we shall be reporting him to the correct authority to try and make sure that he will not be making a mockery of decent hardworking band's gigs and reputation.
The entire band felt uneasy from the off because of the rushed soundcheck and the innapropriate and cheeky manner in which we were treated. So much so that it affected our performance. I know that I was literally shaking, and at the start of Star Crossed (our newest track) I sing alone without any instruments and my voice just broke up with nerves cos I knew we were being fucked about and laughed at by that cunt and most likely others.
However, to the people who came to see us for the first time I do trully apologise. I had a hell of a lot to lose personally that night seeing as two of the other bands knew me and there were people from my old school there who had even more of a reason to laugh at me than they did before, and all because of a crap sound engineer who was clearly taking the piss!
Anyways, we certainly won't be going anywhere near Bourbon Street or said DJ ever again. One thing I must say is that even when we knew we sounded crap and we couldnt even hear ourselves and we knew people must have been laughing at us....we kept going and didn't let it stop us from playing the full set....folk came to see TK, so they got us....and for those people who had to suffer that night, they get to see us for free and get a free CD out of it too...and by FUCK we'll blow the socks off you at Barfly!
\m/ Keep it Metal \m/

P.S Kate....you have a thing against fat people too? Fuckin class! lol!

| Re: Last night at Bourbon Street Personally, I think fat people should be placed in an Auschwitz-based weight loss camp and aired on national television to warn people of the social indignity and repulsiveness that being obese brings.
Over a series of months, the participants will agree to go on a diet, exercise and stop being lazy, or they will be banished to Iceland.
Alternatively, we could put all the fat people in Africa and bring all the starving people over here because surely, with the amount that some individuals seem to consume, we could support the developing world.
On a less obese note, the Barfly gig will be amazing and Mr. I'm Fat, Live Up A Ladder & Can't Do My Job shall be shat upon from a great height.
I've sold 3 tickets and I've got 5 people checking their shifts and considering.
Love yeez
