| Mervin Peake-The gormenghast trilogy
Anyone read the gormenghast trilogy? Very funny and very interesting. Peake has a vivid imagination, although I found his writing a little hard to follow at times, he goes off on a tangent often and obscure metaphors are overused a bit but on the whole very enjoyable if you have the time and patience. There was a t.v. series made of it a wee while ago which I saw but it was long ago and I can't remember what it was like. Have to look for the video.
