Masking paintings

Does anyone have any tips on masking off areas of paintings?

I realise the best way is to use cut paper masks and taping them down, but the area I'm looking to mask off is pretty huge and complex. I'm basically looking for a quick and easy option since I'm lazy as... lazy things.

Re: Masking paintings

as far as i am aware you can bu an lightly adhesive masking paper, its kind of like contact paper but far less adheisive, you simply lay it on ligghtly cut around the shape with a craft knife and peel away what you dont need.

this could all be nonsence though.

Re: Masking paintings

Fuck knows. Only one way to find out …

Most things can mask against light coats of spray because it dries quickly, thus not getting the chance to creep. If you’re heavy on the nozzle finger though, you’ll get wetter results that can creep under pretty much anything except liquid mask.
