Apologies for the image quality, I don't have a scanner, and these were taken on a camera phone.
I'm trying to improve my much neglected painting, so doing portraits of just about everyone I've ever met continues apace. These are of my friends 2 kids, acrylic on canvas. About 2 hours on each, from outline up.
This is pencil on bog standard A4 paper, of the same friends youngest child. Took about half an hour, just seemed to fall into place very easily, but this was the 9th baby pencil portrait i'd done, so perhaps practice on baby facial proportions has helped.
I have now discovered that drawing young children is very challenging, because the proportions of the head and face are weird, but painting them is a nightmare.
