Crafting WIP/FO

I'm utterly UTTERLY bored and picked up my knitting again for the first time in absolute MONTHS. Started a sock bout 7 months ago and only managed to do the cuff before picking up a stitch and getting confused...then on THursday I was like "I can just knit the 2 stitches together and it'll be fine" so do that I did then followed an excellent online tutorial and managed to knit the heel flap, turn the heel and pick up stitches and finish the gusset shaping. Now i'm on the boring 5 inch knit of boringness. I know this is boring for folk. Show us your works in progress (WIP) or finished objects (FO) here. Or something. Aye

I just bought some new needles the other day and I'm look to stitch a hat so as soon as I get some nice wool then I'll get some pictures on the go,

Excellent tutorial for knitting socks. I want to knit a hat with ears for winterness. Started it off but my expensive wool is unravelling and being annoying

I only have one knitting work in progress, though to be fair, theres been no progress made on it, since I took the huff with it because I didn't manage to finish it within the week. It's a bear, and it only needs its last arm to be knitted. HERE's one I prepared earlier (well, its face at least).

Finished a pair of mittens for my sister Christmas. Small errors mainly with wrong colour in wrong place but is structurally sound

I want to make fetching so much, need to get my head around cabling. I still need to finish this Elephant im making for my mates baby. Got an arm and 2 ears left to do once I find my crochet hook...

I totally fucked up a sweater I was making a couple of weeks ago - you might be able to see it here:


Basically I cabled back to front. If it says cable front, you should bring the cable needle to the side nearest you. Cable back means the cable needle goes to the opposite side. I thought it was vice versa and cable front meant it should be IN front of the work so my cables were inside out. Fetching is dead easy but I found it a bit fiddly to cable forward in the round.

Cheers Laura! I don't know if they'll fit my niece at all though, she's got the biggest feet I've ever seen on a baby
