That was rather astounding, can't help but feel slightly narked for the writers whose work were painted over by Blu tho.

It's an occupational hazard of the medium they work in, though (nature of the beast, innit?). It's not like the people whose work was there first actually owned the property they sprayed or had permission to do it (probably). Beautiful stuff.

it's an unwritten rule to not paint over someone's else's work UNLESS yours is going to be of a much higher quality or if someone else ruined it already though!

it's just manners and common decency!

Re: stop motion graffiti

Think I've seen the end section of that before (bit when it goes inside the room)...Not seen the first section though which is fucking impressive, must've taken an absolute age.

This is pretty cool as well: Stop motion on white board:

... which it was. Pretty much every piece of graffiti is going to get removed or painted over at some point. I'd be happy if something I'd done had been painted over by something that awesome rather than just some random old shite.

No, right now it's just a big white smear. Chances are, the artist who got painted over won't see the video and will just see that some randomer's slathered white paint all over his and the surrounding art.

The guy who made this video could easily have done it elsewhere as it wasn't really the background to his movie that mattered.

Re: stop motion graffiti

The technique used in that was awesome, and imagine the patience required to spray each frame. Incredible. But I do think as a film it was pretty gash, and a bit pretentious. I lost interest after 5 minutes of (rather poor) pointless random actions from the character.

Re: stop motion graffiti

Yeah fair point. As a film it could definitely have done with a clearer structure/story, but the concept and execution were flawless* so high-fives all round!

* except for a couple of dodgy sound effects!

There are no rules to graffiti, unwritten or otherwise.
