i'd think it's prob better to try get some space in an existing gallery or public place for people to stumble upon, get a bit more exposure without having to do alot of advertising.
a lifetime with your closest friends... is one... never lived in vain.
I'd certainly be interested, but probably more likely to just come for a nosey rather than exhibit anything, venue dependant etc.

Will there be some kind of quality control in what gets selected? If so, then I'll be glad to ruin it for everyone and turn up with a printout of something I knocked up in Microsoft Paint when I was supposed to be working. If not, though, I'll be even more glad to laugh out loud at anyone who asks to be a part of it and gets the "ehh, mibbe not you" treatment.
