| haberdashery shops any good ones in glasgow?
I'm looking for things a bit more exciting than mandors and remnant kings have to offer for customising clothing etc.
The ribbon shop's pretty good but expensive.
Anyone recommend anywhere else? |

| Re: haberdashery shops there's hobbycraft out at the fort shopping centre which is pretty good and in a few weeks parkin fabrics will have a sale in one of the hotels in glasgow, they have an excellent selection of feathers and bits and pieces. I usually trawl ebay though if there's something specific i'm after |

| Re: haberdashery shops John Lewis isn't too bad for basic bits n bobs too, much cheaper than V V Rouleaux, which while amazing is hideously expensive! |

| Re: haberdashery shops corsages, ribbon, netting, lace, screen printing nonsense. Lots and lots of things really. In light of being poor I'm updating some of my wardrobe Emilie Autumn style and I need something to do a huge bow / bustle thing on the back of a rubbish plain pencil skirt. |

| Re: haberdashery shops I am often in Millers art store and the Art store on Queen street they are good for craft things and have haberdashery bit and bobs too depending what your after.
John Lewis as a few said are good and not as expensive as I would have thought.
Confetti on the bottom of Queen street is always worth a look, there sales are magic and you can get rolls of ribbon for pennies.
Pound Land on Union Street is always worth a gander.
Have you even considered the wee asian dress making shops. There are quite a few and they always have interesting materials in the windows, worth a look too. |

I might take a wee trip out there, I would need a flask of tea and sandwiches packed though, I would be in there all day, quite happily looking at all the goodies |

| Re: haberdashery shops it's not as good as you'd think for things like stitching and embroidery etc. None of their kits were that advanced and their cardmaking things were a bit rubbish.
Off to the Hobbycraft fair at the SECC in October for me I think. It is mahoosive though and good for basic things

Also if you fancy a trip to Hobbycraft I'd be up for it later in the week? | |
