| any clothes designers out there? Is there anyone on this site who designs clothes?
Specifically, using lace?
I'm looking for someone to design me lace handwarmers to use for a concert I have this summer in Amsterdam.
If anyone knows of any designers out there who work with lace, do please send me a PM.
PS the concert isn't the average piano recital - hence the rather strange/sexually confused attire
Hopefully someone can help me. If not, it's all the way to Koniakow, just for a pair of gloves
Thanks guys

| Re: any clothes designers out there? Eh, you can buy things online y'know. Took me a whole 2 minutes to find Koniakow Lace's online store. http://www.koniakow.com/osc/product_...roducts_id/256
Also, the concert obviously isn't the average piano recital - it's small enough that you think anyone will care what gloves you're wearing. Anyone actually spotting your new lace handwarmers will be easy to identify, they'll be the person saying "Lace handwarmers? But lace has the warming properties of a Margaret Thatcher themed orgy". |

Kris | Kris, I am a designer (I train people to design clothes). However, I don't think you want me to design your gloves, and I don't want to either. But, I wish you luck in finding the gloves. |

| Re: any clothes designers out there? Pandas - i'm well aware of the Koniakow website, since I did mention Koniakow in the first place.
But I prefer wearing bespoke items. Call me old-fashioned. And I like to help the people I live with. I'd rather pay someone in Scotland to design me something than someone in another country.
Secondly - the heat retaining properties of lace is the last thing on my mind. And the concert isn't small.
Thirdly - I don't understand this attitude on the site where people try to get a laugh/have a 'poke' at something, rather than actually answering the question asked. I appreciate your attempts at humouring me (no offence), but would have preferred if you could just have answered the question, since you know nothing about the event itself.
So - for those that had trouble understanding the question - if anyone designs using lace, get in touch with me. Like I said, i'm well aware of sites that sell similar items, but i'd rather have something bespoke. |

Have you tried looking for a shop that will make the gloves? There must be a few tailors left that'll do it. And even if they don't, they'll probably know who does. |

I love the reasons some people sign up for forums.

Do you not have a wardrope manager? Going by concerts, recitals etc. you must have a P.R. person who looks after you? Ask them if you are not going to take advice from other people.

Seems a bit pointless. Better not to have bothered. Still, seems pretty in keeping with the majority of users. Welcome to the forum
