Photoshop Question

I'm setting fiddling about in photoshop with something at the moment.

I'm not quite sure how to explain what I want to do (which is half the problem because I can't really google it!).

Basically I've cut out a bands logo and I want to put the UK flag over it. I don't know if it would look good or not but I won't know if I don't try and I like to learn!

Like this.


Any idea how I'd do it or how I'd look for it on google?

You'll need two layers. The background layer is your union flag, and the second—on top of the first—is solid black. Then you'll want to apply the band logo as a layer mask to the black layer. That's the phrase to look for on google.

Haha, totally clueless and lost! Didn't really get it. Think I did it wrong or something. Who knows.

I think I'll just have to leave it as is.
