| limiting oneself Where my own art is concerned, that is, writings + visual art, I feel that the limits sometimes put on us, for example by school, are my downfall + was wondering if there is any way to overcome this flaw. I have a problem with focusing.. I always want to write about everything + paint everything, but I can't ever stick to one theme. This is probably going to bring me down in my higher art grade, and also in advanced english this year where the dissertation is concerned.. so basically what I'm saying is uhm.. help! |

| hmmm sounds similar to Matt Groenig, he ended up going to a school for "Highly Creative" people who couldnt concentrate, but in the end it's really just a matter of discipline - however i've not really stuck to anytheme, my theme is the development of my style - don't paint to fit a theme, theme to fit you. use a flexible theme or make one up - i did.
as for English - how is that if every essay is different?
that confused me.

| i have the same problem with being creative with life in general, but at school i tended to just get on with it, and just concentrate on the specific project in front of me - i miss that atmosphere from school, i was so much more productive, i'm far too lazy to get much done now. |

| Where the art is concerned you should always reflect your style in the artwork you produce. Try and chose a theme which is flexible enough to allow you to stick to it without feeling that you have missed out on something because your theme is limited.
I don't know much about dissertations in English because I am only just going into fifth year.
Good luck anyway
