| Both those little books rock...
Banksy's style is not very original...there were thousands of people out there who have been doing it better and for longer...a lot of his style is taken directly, and obviously, from books such as Stencil Graffiti but he does have a lot of great ideas location and slogan wise and is a cheeky bastard who gets his stuff up all over the place...i like his themes and his angle on contemporary art and also think that what he has to say about general social and economic issues is very releavant... |

| I didn't mean the recent Stencil Graffiti Roy...I am talking about older stuff where Banksy got a lot of his ideas and styles from.
I am not saying he copied stuff i mean he copied styles and techniques. |

Banksy's got talent, that's for sure - and a brain to back that up. He does still churn out some derivative shite every now and again.
Most interesting stuff I've seen lately is by Becca, over in Los Angeles.
This is old work, as is the website I linked to above... You can see some of her new work in either Wired or Adbusters this month, can't remember which.

I like it.
Heh. I've applied for the Face's Art Director position...

| Hehe. Damn straight - the design is apalling these days. All this faux-naivety in magazine design really pisses me off. I came really close to getting the same job at Dazed & Confused early this year, they have even more problems...
Still. Whilst it would be cool, it would also mean living in London and working in the world of fashion gonks.
