| Re: new website : online fashion mag do you have flash player 8 ?
My gosh, I thought that flash player was crossplatform. i tried it on PC (firefox, netscape, Internet explorer, Opera) and it works fine. Unfortunately i am unable to test it on a mac.
i wonder what is wrong. I will have to check. |

| Re: new website : online fashion mag site is awful to navigate. Make sure you have the main links in view at ALL times so anyone can go back and forth as they please.
Also, add a 'skip' button to the flash as they might not want to sit through 30 seconds of flash to read the interview |

| Re: new website : online fashion mag Safari doesn’t incorporate Flash player 8 yet—Safari users need to download it from Macromedia/Adobe as a plugin, for now. Problem is, most of them don’t know that, because we’re all used to Flash ‘just working’ in Safari without downloading or installing anything.
The answer is to make sure your site is compatible with Flash 7 or earlier when you export the SWF files. Safari plays those fine.

| Re: new website : online fashion mag Ah!
I NOW have flash player 8, and it's all working.
There's a wierd thing where moving the mouse causes the text to be selected (in quite an ugly, but presumably undesired way) in the interview section.
As Greg says, there's a fair bit of waiting about during which I feel like I'm being held hostage by a machine; I'd rather it was controlled by MY whim rather than the other way around (or at least made to feel that's how it is). I felt the same way looking at the Hummer site: finding yourself about to shout "hey, I wanna do THAT you !£&*£! machine" isn't a good feeling.
Keeping the main links visible all the time would certainly help towards that.

| Re: new website : online fashion mag I didn't like the fact that once I'd been in the interview I only had the option of going back to main and then I had to wait for it allllllllll to load again which was a bit annoying. Something to skip the intro would be nice too.
It just reminded of the cyberdog site in that there's so much flash it takes forever to navigate it and by the end you want to hunt down the designer and beat him violently round the face with a wet fish

| Re: new website : online fashion mag Flash is for games and animations.
Cute comments, though.
