| Android Has anyone had a play with it on the actual programming/development side???
My work are gonna be getting behind it quite heavily so thought i'd have a wee tinker maybe get the old programming brain working??
Any idea what it's like? easy to pick up? waste of my fucking time??

| Re: Android You can download the SDK and build something without needing a phone. I haven't tried it yet, just know it's Java-based.
My impression is that it's still a very immature platform but will probably do well in the long term.
I'm sticking to iPhone development for the time being. |

| Re: Android I've been doing some developing on it as part of my final year project, got the g1 handset to play with too. It's really quite nice to develop for. Still early days for the platform yet so not a lot of support out there but that'll only improve. If you've got experience in java then you'll pick it up easily. Downloas the sdk and play with some examples on the emulator to get an idea.
Your company aren't looking for graduates are they?  |

Your company aren't looking for graduates are they?  | They have some kind of graduate program would guess it would be based down south somewhere though?? looks like 2009 is full, but they cover a huge amount of qualifications is a bloody big company, i'm just stuck in a wee segment of it.
