Are you all shagging, or is this terrible affliction, spreading through the interweb - much like Neos powers recognised in both worlds in the Matrix?

What sorta time frame should I be off work for? I've had symptoms since sunday. |
The incubation period is usually 16 to 25 days after infection and it is contagious three days prior to and nine days after the onset of symptoms. So, I'd say at least another week off work. If you still feel ropey after a week, maybe a bit longer. The important thing is you don't want to infect other members of staff or customers and you don't want to wear yourself out too quickly.

If you have an actual infection from any of these, you'll be immune for life, but not with a vaccine. Although if infected post vaccination warranty, you may have a low level infection due to some circulating antibodies.

I've already had it for a week, I just had no idea what it was till wednesday, as the only symptoms I had noticed were swollen glands and I get them from time to time. It was only when I went into work and found out that the glass collector had mumps that I put two and two together. Spoken to the nursey and she says I'm not infectious now anyhoo. I find it boggin tho, the idea that I've had random persons germs in my mouth freaks me out. |
