| Nicotene replacement After watching the episode of casualty yesterday I've finally been put off smoking unfortunatly I've not been put off missing nicotene. Now I am in the strange position of being desperate for nicotene/ a fag but the last time I attempted to smoke one I felt distinctly unwell. Can anyone reccomend a brand, form of nicotene replacement therapy that actually works?

| Re: Nicotene replacement Get your G.P. to give you a prescription for bupropian (Zyban), which reduces the craving for nicotine. As far as I'm aware, using bupropian with patches increases synergistic efficacy and is more successful longterm.

Heard about it from a Polish Doctor when I was at a conference in July. From what I've heard it is quite a succesful drug.

| Re: Nicotene replacement I was using Nicogel for a while. It worked fine and when I tried to have a sly cig I was repulsed and would gag a wee bit. Just a shame I went back to smoking tho

This also seems to have had the rather jolly psychological side-effect that tobacco now seems kind of crap by comparison. |
