Decongestants

I'm just starting to recover from a damn head cold and my ear has just decided its time to start decongesting. My problem is its bloody sore and all I can hear on my left side is a very slow sucking noise. I'm bloody knackered after all this and now it does this so I still cant sleep.

Any ideas other than find a pharmacy and buy some sudafed dual relief greatly appreciated.

I used to always put a hot water bottle on the pillow with towel round it (so as not to burn) and then lay with affected ear on it. That was for an actual ear infection mind but it helped with the blocky feeling and *gross* helped it drain out a bit (no idea why, but it felt good!)

The only late night pharmacies you would have found are a Rowland's Springburn Way and Munro Alderman Road, but it's too late for them now.

The pharmacy at my parents in EK shuts at 11pm but that would mean getting dressed and cycling there in 7 minutes which whilst possible on a nice quiet day isnt possible on a cold damp thursday night.

Managed to find some sudafed but I doubt it'll help.
