| Re: The fuck is wrong with my (fa) knee? Hopefully thats what the specialist is doing.
Thogh i've a feeling tui'l be 3 months wait to see this chap then I'll be there for 10 minutes which will conclude with 'Ok we'll scan you, come back in 6 months ' followed by another 3 month wait for results. I STILL haven't heard about the ultrasound i got on my chest in June |

| Re: The fuck is wrong with my (fa) knee? Should have got my wife to do an echo for you, she'd have given you a DVD and everything. The good thing about the MRI scan is the 3-d workup and soft tissue shows up. Apparently oesteo specialists are the worst for time but I think once the scan is done they should be quick with the follow up. Kirsten has mentioned supplements and asked what pain relief you're using, in the meantime.

| Re: The fuck is wrong with my (fa) knee? See what's a total farce, I was waiting over a year for Physiotherapy on the NHS, then I started working on the NHS and they booked me in 2 days later. Total sham (Although im not moaning because I actually got it).
High-Five!

Without knowing exactly what's wrong obviously noone can say if it will be permanent or not, but it's pretty unlikely, and the best thing you can do is be seen by a specialist. They would be able to send you for an MRI if they thought it was necessary, or if they are sure of your diagnosis then treat you. You'd be surprised at the number of things that stump general practitioners who maybe see one or two in a year, that are straightforward and eary diagnoses for speicalists who sees one or two every day. |

| Re: The fuck is wrong with my (fa) knee? A guy in work had a huge lump on his knee for a while and it swoll up to a huge size then burst and all this mad funky goo was coming out it. Turns out it was an abscess in his knee. He's still off work just now and has a huge crater beside his knee where it burst. Think hes on crutches too.

| Re: The fuck is wrong with my (fa) knee? Progrees! Sweet delicious progress!
TURNS OOT I have a large oblique tear in the cartilage on the inside of my knee surrounded by a cystic structure. If anyone wants to translate that from moon language, feel entirely free.
So the upshot is, surgery, apparently it's an in/out same day procedure, with 3-4 months till i'm back fighting fit, tough it's about a 3 to 4 month waiting list in the first place. |
