The fuck is wrong with my (fa) knee?

This has been giving me grief for a couple of year, and has been flaring up something rotten the past week or so.
Started as a dull ache at the inside of my right knee one day, then i noticed a bit of a lump at the side that was a bit squishy, then it seemed to get hader. I went to get it checked out then as someones said 'OH NOES CYST!' and was told it was nothign to worry about, then one night it felt like it jsut deflated.
Since then, my knee clicks every time i stand up.
It does ache pretty bad form time to time, but the last wee while im finding myself limping about allt he fucking time and its actual fucking agony.
Feels beick solid if ive been walking a while, then at others, a bit squishier with a solid interior.
Last time i mentioned it to the doctor i was just told id to refer myself to a physiotherapist

So of cours ei neevr got round to that and was jsut left wondering what the fuck.

I aint no big city doctor, but from things I've seen previous I'm thinking either herniated muscle or arthritis (if fluid has gone bye-bye in the joint). Get thee to a competent doctor asap.

Could be your kneecaps or cartilage in your knee has slipped.

Defo get it checked out though, as floating bone/cartilage and stuff can cause muscle damage and things.

I think it's a subluxating patella, usually only seen in horses, but you're an odd person in so many respects that who knows

Phone NHS 24 and get referred to the hospital. Whatever it is, it needs seen to quickly. It doesn't look to me like a torn ligament or a slipped knee cap. If it was a slipped knee cap you'd not be able to bend the leg, PLUS it's the most horrific pain Ive ever felt. Same goes for the ligament thing. It does look like .......

Can you straighten you leg out completely?

Aye, it just aches to fuck, especially after ive been walking or more than 10/15 minutes now.

It was giving me more than a little grief after hillwalking the other week :s

On second look of thoose pictures, If tyou can't straighten your leg fully, or take your body weight on it (though I'll stress DONT TRY THIS) then I thinkit actually IS a dislocation :/
In the first and second pictures, the thigh, just above the knee looks too sunk in. Brian, go see a doctor please. I'm only guessing here but still, go get seen to.
