| Re: what happens in a floatation tank? I've never been in a floatation tank but would like too, does anyone know of any in the Glasgow area that doesn't involve joining a gym?
As far as I'm aware the point of a floatation tank is to be used in an "isolation tank" sense, it serves no minimise all signals from the outside world so you can still your mind, the water is body temp, it is soundproofed, it's pitch dark, and unless you fart or drink the water you shouldn't be smelling or tasting anything other the hint of saline.
It probably gets quite interesting if you throw a consciousness expanding substance into the mix |

| Re: what happens in a floatation tank? They are okay, supposedly v. relaxing.
I've tried it twice, didn't like at all. Its like a circlular thing and THEY CLOSE THE LID, there are lights or something because it sort of goes a dull pinkish colour, allthough I think you can change this...
There wasn't music, but you could request it. you're just supposed to float and relax. lid pops up when your time is up.
I couldn't relax coz I kept thinking I was gonna get stuck in there forever. Quite a disturbing experience, but if thats you're thing then hey go for it... |
