| Re: Paracetemol and alcohol One of the problems with specialsing in a relatively obscure field is that I'm losing all my general physiology knowledge.
Anyone have any questions on oxidative stress, anti-oxidants, the glutathione S-transferase enzymes (especially the omega class) and how these things are important in cancer and response to chemotherapy?

| Re: Paracetemol and alcohol Bottom line is it will probably do you no harm. I remember when I was a lad we used to take paracetomol with alcohol in the stupid hope that it would make us more drunk and I'm still alive.
If you're worried, give it the amount of time on the pack to make sure it's fully metabolised and you're cool.

| Re: Paracetemol and alcohol Right, assuming I can actually find the damn things *I hope I haven't lost them in the middle of Livingston, but I couldn't find the packet at lunch and it's not in the flat * I'll have a couple before bed tonight and then leave it - give me 10/12 hours and a full nights sleep.
Pity I'm not going to be so sensible with the alcohol...
Cheers guys btw

| Re: Paracetemol and alcohol You would posibly be better using something like Ibroprufen, as this will also, have all the affects and, unless you have an existing condition such as an ulcer, tends to have less side effects, thats if I remember correctly.
They are also a lot less harsh on your poor liver, and are much better for the casual drinker. |

Are you taking something like Lemsip capsules with caffeine in them?

| Re: Paracetemol and alcohol Caffeine hits me hard and always increases lethargy and bloating on the comedown.
Water, orange juice, and more than 5 hours sleep for the first time in a week after lots of 6am starts will hopefully reduce the lethargy. Quote:

Also, I did a subcrawl 2 weeks ago and didn't call them so here's hoping! *of course, I did end up making a girl cry and hitting my best friend, so let's hope for none of that either...*
