| Hypnotherapy I had a quick search, but i couldnt really see anything dedicated to peoples experience of it
My mums moaning at me to go see a hypnotherapist because of my fear of the dentist. its getting quite bad, and i'd rather not have to be drugged up everytime i have to get work done. Anasthetics arent cheap
So what are your experiences with Hypnotherapy. Did it work for you, and whatever problems you had, or was it a big waste of time?

I've not put anyone under for a good number of years, but I've heard that Harvest up St Georges Cross way is meant to be fantastic.

| Re: Hypnotherapy My mum did that for years, depends on the person, like if someone goes to give up smoking, if they don't want to, it won't work, if you get my drift.

| Re: Hypnotherapy Aye, my mum's been a practising hypnotherapist for years. She finds it works for some people and not for others. As people have said it's all about having a degree of suggestibility, a belief that it will work and a desire for it to work.
my best advice is to find a dentist you're really comfortable with. Not always possible but makes a world of difference.

Did it work for you, and whatever problems you had, or was it a big waste of time? | Ever since i was younger iv always had a fear of the dentist due to bad experiences and for years i didnt go. Recently i have just got on with it, i go to the one you go too and it calmed me down and now it dosnt bother me about going. Who is it you see at that place anyways?
