| I'm a stone underweight... What's the best/healthiest way to build up your weight if you have a mad metabolism?
Anyone say 'eat' and you're off my Christmas card list.

| Re: I'm a stone underweight... Go see a dietician. They'll look at your current diet and suggest ways to change it.
You'll probably need to eat more and do muscle building exercise. Your body mass comes from your food, you can't ask people not to suggest eating. |

| Re: I'm a stone underweight... I'd suggesting increasing your food intake while keeping a balanced diet, and possibly upping the carbohydrate and protien intake and doing some more muscle building exercise (as opposed to cardio).
Just like with losing weight there's no magic method - it's healthier to gain muscle as opposed to fat, but you do need a certain amount of fat for hormone production, so don't worry if you start putting on a little pudge as well as muscle. |

Thanks everyone.

The alternative - using as few calories as possible - might lead to bedsores, so yeah, just try to consume more caolries surely? Ideally in a fairly healthy way, so you don't clog up your arteries too much in the process.

I don't think you can..Unless you fancy protein shakes and creatin {sp}...
Although health isn't really about how you eat, as much as it is about what you eat.
