| Styes I think I have a stye in my eye, how infectious are they? |

| Re: Styes A stye is usually when an oil gland, or a follicle, becomes clogged with dirt or oil. If you go your doctor they may prescribe antibiotic eyedrops or ointment, but even when recurrent they are not infectious and usually go away by themselves within 2 weeks. |

Although, I'd maybe avoid putting make-up near your eye, it might irritate it. |

and take better care of yourself - my doc says a stye is the first visable sign that your body is feeling run-down and neglected.

| Re: Styes i had one just starting the other day but salt water and optex eye drops done the trick - its well away now
dunno about the make up thing - I've not really worn a lot of make up since it happened. At most (eye make up wise) just mascara, and it was ok. |
