| Re: Let's get in shape by Xmas 2007! I've started the healthier eating as of today.
I've put on about a stone and a half since this time last year, which I think has ALOT to do with the contraceptive implant. Gonna change back to the pill soon when I register with a GP.
Always wanted to start horseriding..... any good ones in Glasgow worth checking out? |

| Re: Let's get in shape by Xmas 2007! I've been going to the gym fairly regularly for ages but I'm getting bored with it so I've signed up for some fitness classes at the gym (Body Combat, Body Balance and Bums, Tums and Thighs). I've stopped focusing on my weight though. I have 2 kids and the fitter I get the more I'm able to run around after them and enjoy my time with them, purely because I have more energy. It's a great motivating factor. Again the kids have motivated me to cook from scratch more often and to cook healthier alternatives.
I can't be bothered with a time frame though. I'm just going to do it for as long as I enjoy it and when I get bored I'll try something new.

| Re: Let's get in shape by Xmas 2007! I've been told my many people that eating too little will stop you from loosing weight. I've never really gone for this theory - I mean, it's basic maths isn't it?
If you put no calories in your body is forced to burn it's stored energy? I know metabolism comes into it, the body goes into starvation mode/burns as few calories as possible, but metabolism can't prevent the body from needing to burn at least some energy. How few calories is too few calories? |

Just have one eat-like-a-pie day per week and you'll keep your metabolism in order.
