| Psoriasis - natural remedies? I have a sore throat and this means my psoriasis is due a flare-up. I have stuff for it but I'm getting more and more reluctant to use steroid-based creams. Also, I know it's a bit naughty, but I still haven't registered with a doctor down here (due in no small part to it being near on impossible to find one that'll take me).
I'm aware that nothing works for everyone (psoriasis is a bastard like that) but wondered if anyone had any good remedies worth trying that didn't involve doctors, steroids, sunbeds or that brown shit they have such a hard-on for covering me with at the skin clinic?

In Turkey & in Croatia (Altermedica), doctor fish which live in the outdoor pools of spas, are encouraged to feed on the psoriatic skin of people with psoriasis. The fish only consume the affected areas of the skin. The outdoor location of the spa may also have a beneficial effect. This treatment can provide temporary relief of symptoms. A revisit to the spas every few months is often required. Best known is the spa “Kangal Thermal Springs”, near the Turkish village of Kavak. According to the testimony of numerous psoriasis patients, the fish lead to a significant relief. This spa is located south of the historic silk road in Anatolia. The next big city is Sivas. Treatment in this hot spring has been examined until now in two small clinical trials, with positive results.
| I saw that in a magazine years ago, but couldn't remember much about it. You probably don't want to have to go that far for treatment though. |

| Re: Psoriasis - natural remedies? yeah have a look at your diet, I read about a few folk who have cut dairy from their diet and their psoriasis vanished so something you eat could be triggering it. A pal of mine got a mini sun lamp and used to hold it over the affected areas and it hasn't been back in years. |

| Re: Psoriasis - natural remedies? Go to Lush, they do a lotion called Dream Cream that is amazing for psoriasis and any other skin ailment. The shop I work in is always happy to give a sample as well so you won't have to shell out for it. |

I tried sunlamps - they made me break out in tiny blisters. Doc said it happens in a certain amount of cases. Quote:
