WRONG! |

I was reading some shite, comes-free-in-the-paper weekly mag the other day that actually suggested this to a woman who wrote in saying she didn't like using condoms.
Shocking. Maybe she can sue them when she's pregnant and has chlamydia.

Shocking. Maybe she can sue them when she's pregnant and has chlamydia. | As a contraceptive (obviously not a barrier to disease) and if performed correctly it's more effective than spermicides or the diaphragm. With a failure rate of only 4% (condoms have a 2% failure rate, to put that in perspective). So it's actually a pretty fucking good contraceptive technique, if you do it right.

Problem seems to be that around 30% of people using the method don't do it properly, for whatever reason.

Source: http://www.contraceptivetechnology.com/table.html | That really depends on the situation - if it's it's that effective (which I'm surprised to hear) and you're in a long term relationship, then ok. If you're having a drunken liason with someone, dear god no. Never mind the STD risk, that places far too much trust on the guy to get things right...

I was wondering for a minute whether there was some weird form of tantric maneuver that you have to perform in order to pull out correctly |

The problem people have long had with it is that it was thought that Cowper's fluid contained sperm. We now know it doesn't and that explains the efficacy of the technique.

Well, I suppose its not ideal... |
