the pill made me gain weight too. As the doctor so politely pointed out though, it doesn't ACTUALLY make you gain weight. It increases your appetite. You giving in to it makes you gain weight
Cheers docotr! | I've thought about it but I can just about cope with having a coil in me, having something implanted gives me the heebies. My appetite is voracious when I'm pregnant and on hormonal contraception too. I can't afford to gain anymore weight! |

| Re: implanon The implant has just the same amount of hormone as the jag, and alot more than the Mirena, so I don't think it'll help with yout problems with it. |

Wonder what the rate of migration is. I fiddle with mine, but it seems resolutely stationed. Race to see who can push theirs furthest from implant site?

| Re: implanon I had two implants between 2001 and 2006 and they were fine. I cant really think of any side effects from them but I didnt have a period for the entire time, bar some spotting when the first implant was starting to wear out. I have had really irregular periods since though and nothing since November but the dr's are refusing to investigate as I have no desire to have a baby just now. Cunts
What is worrying me though is that the dr has decided to put me on microgynon even though I am overweight and have a history of severe depression. Surely that cannot be good? |

| Re: implanon Aye, you really shouldn't be on it if you're overweight. Not sure about the history of depression, though. |
