I still have the cold after a week (the drinking all last week might not of helped though and just made it worse) Its not as bad as it was but all the covonia and lemsip max still isnt making me stop coughing neon coloured stuff.. minging
Anyone suggest anything else? I should gotto the doctors but im thinking they might just say "it'll go away its self".

The only way to get rid of a cold is to let your immune system get rid of it for you. And it sounds like your immune system is a bit run down, which is possibly why its taken such a hold in the first place.
Paracetamol, ibuprofen will all help control the symptoms though, for now. Make sure you load up on loads of fresh fruit and veg, and drink plenty of water.
There are some herbal supplements as well, like echinacea, which help boost the immune system, and these can be taken all year round, cold or not.
I'd say, stay off the booze, follow whatever advice you want to, and if its not gone in another week or so, go to the doctors, although they probably will tell you what I just have, or put you on antibiotics, which might make you feel sick, and will mean you have to stay in and not drink until the course is finished anyway. | |

See i think my immune system is fucked (as you suggested) anyway. I was having dizzy spells for 3 weeks before i got the cold, doctors still couldnt tell what it is.
Friend suggested that it may be lack of iron and vitamins. I really should speak to my doctor at one point. Just always feel they dont do anything.
