| Exercising Being that I am built like a rake suffering dfrom anorexia nervosa, i have been endeavouring to try and puit a bit of beef on my bones over the last couple of months. Was meant to be starting the gym with a mate of mine, but poverty restrictions have kind of killed that idea, so I've taken top doing simple stuff to try and build up a bit.
Currently managing about 40 push ups (a month ago i'd die after 3), 20 pull ups, and 60 sit ups a day, and am noticing the benefit already after only a few weeks, just wondering really if there's any other excercises anyone can suggest to add in to my regime? |

| Re: Exercising Buy a bike/use your bike.
I kid you not. I biked to and from work for about 2 months (only about 6 miles a day, 3mi each way) and I picked up a better cardio system and just generally felt better. |

| Re: Exercising How much does it cost to get some weights? We've got some here, which I use regularly, but I'm not sure what the general price range is. I'd recommend it though, because there's a wealth of exercises you could do, targeting different areas of the body. |

| Re: Exercising I think its more them i've been doing, only coming up enough till i feel it tensing up rarther than going all the way to the knees. Usually around 40 or so it becomes nigh unbearably agonising. |

| Re: Exercising Well, push up-wise, do incline ones; stick your feet on your bed or something and push up from the floor. First two or three you'll be thinking "EASY!" then at about ten, you start going "Urk!".
Pull ups; add some weight there, somehow. Say, carry a bag with something heavy in it.
Sit ups; just go slower and then you get up, make sure you tense your stomach muscles.
Bear in mind, as well, that you shouldn't do it all the time because if you do, you'll be damaging your muscles more than building them and growth'll just stop. So do, say, one day off and two days off, mayhaps. Or something to that effect.
I'd also recommend buying some weights I got myself these about a month ago and they're quite ace. Do the job, y'know. You can probably get cheaper and so on, though, so meh. |

Also, it's more my upper body im wanting to work on, My legs are fine. I think. Quote: |

Weights would be handy, I've been improvising with bricks. |
