Arghh I've had it since I was a baby as well
Eczema on my arms at birth, went away when I was about 7, then my gran died and I got it on the backs of my knees (REALLY bad, like cracked/weeping etc), then after that had gone I went into 1st year and got it on my hands. It's almost gone, sort of disappeared nearly completely by 5th year and instead of going dry and cracked, it just goes tight and red now.
It's now reappearing a weeee bit on my arms and wrists. But meh. I went to see a dermatologist about it a wee while ago and she thinks I have both contact dermatitis and eczema.
Does anyone with it on their hands get really deep ridges in their nails? The dermatologist told me that this indicates when you had a really bad flare up of it - it irritates the nail bed and causes interrupted growth. She also told me that if you're stressed your eczema can get ridiculously bad, so try to chill out more, have baths etc when it gets bad

Might go to the doctors in the morn to get a huge tup of Diprobase (used to use that yonks ago) |
I used Diprobase as well, but because it's just an emollient I started becoming immune to it. Eumovate did nothing really :\

On top of that I also get contact dermatitis (very different skin condition) when I wera anything with nickel in it.
I hate my skin. |
I really really hate it when you think it's going away and it just moves somewhere else
The one thing I did find (although obv everyone is different and it might not work for you) is this hand lotion by Bayliss and Harding. It looks like a ripoff of Molten Brown, is slightly fragranced and contains vitamins. It's AMAZING for using after you wash your hands, and it's really helped the eczema on my arms and anywhere else it appears.
£2 gets you a huge bottle - from New Look. I kid you not. It's worth a try.
