Re: Eczema

Iv had eczema all my life. After a lot of research I found that dairy food can flare it up.As can stress, soaps and cleaning agents.I warn all parnents,DO not use high strenght creams unless you have tried everything else including change of diet, and toiletries .high strenght creams thin the skin and through time will make skin thin patchy and yellow. After 30 years im living proof

Re: Eczema

My sister gets it real bad; Diprobase works well, and try cutting out dairy products case they can trigger an Eczema attack.

Re: Eczema

I just saw this in my subscribed folder.

Since I posted on this I have underwent Photo Therapy for my skin, and man, it was fucking awesome. 20 weeks of standing for a couple minutes twice a week in a sun bed (NHS stylee) and my skin cleared up to almost 'normal' standards!

I've never really been vain, but when my skin cleared up so much I felt so much more confident. I've always dreaded playing gigs after reading some disparaging comments on here a good while ago where the state of my skin was discussed, but now its cleared up and all is good

So yeah, if you've not been offered PDT, ask your dermatologist about it. I've had eczema all my life and only learnt about PDT when I was attending a medical photonics conference for work, and then at an appointment with my consultant, I brought it up. The results were astonishing.

Although, when you are standing there in your boxers and visor, you do feel like the gayest welder in the world.
