In other news, I've started up Muay Thai, which slows my weights somewhat, but it;s awesome aerobic, plus there's alot of bodyweight exercise involved. Good core strength training.
You should eat some carbos after exercising - that's what all the training manuals i've beenr eading are saying.

Re: Exercise

I tend to just mix up some glutamine and whey, with some milk and wait about half an hour to an hour before eating something substantial. Probably wrong, but who cares?

Been managing to do a fun-but-mildly-daft aerobics one on top of that 2-3 nights a week but I've started back uni now (20-min walk each way) so I dunno if I can be arsed keeping up with the second one.

Only lost about 4lbs so far but I'm feeling a helluva lot healthier already. Exercising just before you eat bizarrely makes you eat *less*
Is it the Carmen Electra dvd you use?? could you recommend any others starting to get bored of the same old ones

Re: Exercise

Yeah, that's the one I do almost every day.

Callanetics works really well (though it's so old you can only get it on VHS!) but I find it pretty difficult and not very interesting. The aerobic one I've been using is "Pump It Up: the Ultimate Dance Workout"... it's a bit daft (got the "Call on Me" girls in it and is full of Ministry of Sound dance shit) and most of it's cardio instead of toning, but I really like it anyway. It's pretty difficult to start off but gives you summat to work up to... it's also a lot more "fun" than the others I've seen.

If you want I could lend you it....?

I read you should eat carbo before to give you energy and eat protein after for muscle enhancement.

That's how I do it, but mostly with supplements, Eat some fruit beforehand along with my glutamine/creatine mix, and some more glutamine and protein with milk afterwards...then some eggs or somehting high protein with toast about half an hour to an hour afterwards. No idea if that's 100% correct what to do, but I follow big Arnie and his gospel
