i have never tried sugar free jelly yet.

| Re: Diet "myths".... Anybody who is currently dieting or thinking about dieting -please do not drop your calorie intake below 1000, not only will this encourage your body to store proteins as fat thus hampering any weight loss dreams, a daily intake of below 1000 is considered highly dangerous and within the realms of anorexia nervosa.
Dieting should always be coupled with exercise.
Oh and that myth about not eating after a certain time? Utter bollocks, just don't eat anything too heavy or you'll affect your sleeping patterns which will impact upon your weight anyway.

Oskar - see that thing about the lower limit for calorie intake... is that an absolute limit, or is it defined as a percentage of what your normal daily intake would be? |

Works for me.
Also, sugar free jelly is the way to go.
No offence, but is 2000 not a bit much if you wanna lose weight? I tend to stick to about 1400, if I can.
Also, eat soup before a meal, helps fill you up quicker so you dont eat as much. | You shouldn't really brush your teeth right after you've eaten, I dn't know the exact reason other than "it's bad for your teeth", but it is.
I swear by vanilla extract. If you're after something sweet, sniff some and you won't want it anymore. |

Obviously you do not have to actually stick rigidly to these as they are estimates, an athlete who trains several times a week will require a higher calorie intake.
Basically these limits have been outlined based on studies on the metabolism of adults which were then averaged out. Therefore, a calorie intake of around 1000 is required for normal body functioning, it is the lowest amount at which your body can carry out all its needs without strain.
Anorexia Nervosa sufferers tend to consume under this amount - normally around 600-800 calories on average (some will consume much less)- and it puts a strain on the body's organs; kidney, liver and psychological functioning.
Just as a side note, a food "binge" is regarded as the consumption of 4000 calories and above in one sitting.

| Re: Diet "myths".... Oskars spot on, it can make you really ill.
Try putting berries in your jelly, it makes it taste nice.
Why dont you try sweetner in your tea?
Oooh, also, tunnocks tea cakes have about the same amount of fat and calories as any weight watchers biscuit.

So my bulimic friends, wait 20 minutes before you brush!
